Docks
Workhorse build for Chickamauga's lower-drawdown shoreline. Marine-grade lumber, galvanized hardware, decades of life.
Chattanooga's home lake. We design, permit, and build custom docks, boat lifts, and demolitions across all 36,000+ acres — from the headwaters above the Watts Bar Dam down to Chickamauga Dam right in the city.
Chickamauga Lake stretches 59 miles up the Tennessee River from Chickamauga Dam in north Chattanooga to the Watts Bar Dam. At 36,000+ acres across Hamilton, Meigs, and Rhea counties, it's the lake most of our customers actually live on — and the one we work most often outside of Watts Bar.
Lower seasonal drawdown than the upstream lakes makes Chickamauga friendly to both fixed and floating docks. Heavy residential shoreline through Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Sale Creek, and Harrison Bay keeps us busy with new builds, replacements, and lift installs year-round.

Every Chickamauga build needs one. We file, pay the fee, and handle TVA review on every project.
Chickamauga runs only about 2 feet of seasonal fluctuation — one of the most stable TVA lakes in our service area. That opens up the full range of build options. Fixed docks work well across most of the shoreline; floating docks make sense for deeper water or owners who want the consistent deck height.
The bigger variable on Chickamauga is shoreline access. Many residential lots are tight, with mature vegetation between the house and the water. We work off our own barge for nearly every install, so shoreline trees and steep banks rarely change the build plan.

This is our second-most-active lake. Same-week site visits common. TVA permits handled, fees included, in-house crew on every build.
Fixed for most residential coves — the lake's modest 2-foot drawdown means a fixed deck stays usable year-round. Floating still makes sense for deeper points or owners who want zero step-down to the water in summer.
Yes — Chickamauga is TVA-managed. Every dock, lift, and demolition needs a 26a permit. We file, cover the $1,000 fee, and manage review on every Chickamauga build.
Many residential communities along Chickamauga have HOA dock standards on top of TVA's. We review your HOA covenants during the design phase and submit drawings that pass both reviews.
Very — especially summer weekends. We spec mooring whips, bumpers, and lift positioning to deal with the wake load most properties see from passing traffic.
Below-dam properties have their own rules and access constraints. We've built there — the design is different, but the path is the same.
